Which camp should I attend?

All Northwestern Camps are open to all interested players, restricted only by age and number of entrants.  All athletes are placed in groups/games designed to reach them at their level, and provide an optimal growth experience.  

Elite Camp

• Elite Athletes:  This camp is catered to athletes who have a serious ambition to play in college-work on elite specialized attacking and defending skills
• Advanced/Intermediate Athletes: Specialized training and tactics for all levels –all athletes are placed in groups/games appropriate to their level experience and ability
• Novice Players: Recommended that novice athletes attend either the Day Camp

Day Camp

• Beginners: New to the sport?  Curious, but don’t have much experience?  Come to our Day Camp for an introduction to basic skills and tactics
• Intermediate Athletes: Expand your technical and tactical skills with fun drills and gameplay
• All athletes are placed in groups/games appropriate to their level experience and ability
• Morning sessions are open to any athletes 3rd grade and up – full day is for 6th – 12th

Elite Prospect Camp

• Elite Athletes: This camp is catered to athletes who have a serious ambition to play in college-work on elite specialized attacking and defending skills
• Advanced/Intermediate Athletes: Specialized training and tactics for all levels –all athletes are placed in groups/games appropriate to their level experience and ability
• Novice Players: Recommended that novice athletes attend the Day Camp

Elite Preseason Combine

• Elite Athletes: See how you stack up!  This camp is catered to athletes who have a serious ambition to play in college-work on elite specialized attacking and defending skills
• Advanced/Intermediate Athletes: Specialized training and tactics for all levels –all athletes are placed in groups/games appropriate to their level experience and ability
• Novice Players: Recommended that novice athletes attend the Day Camp

Elite Athletes: Extensive club field hockey experience?  Motivated to play at the next level?  There are a few options for you:

• Elite Day Camp: Work on specialized attacking and defending skills
• Elite  Prospect  Clinic:  Show  your  stuff  for  Northwestern  Field  Hockey  staff –take  your skills to the next level
• Elite Preseason Combine: See how you stack up!  This camp is catered to athletes who have a serious ambition to play in college-work on elite specialized attacking and defending skills

Intermediate/Advanced Players: For those with background in field hockey, a few seasons under their belt, and a desire to improve:

• Day Camp: expand your technical and tactical skills with fun drills and gameplay
• Elite Day Camp: Work on specialized attacking and defending skills (athletes are placed in groups best suited to their experience and skill)
• Elite  Prospect  Clinic:  Show  your  stuff  for  Northwestern  Field  Hockey  staff –take  your skills to the next level
• Elite Preseason Combine: See how you stack up!  This camp is catered to athletes who have a serious ambition to play in college-work on elite specialized attacking and defending skills

Beginners/New to Field Hockey: New to the sport? Never played, but want to give it a try?  Come to our Day Camp, June 11th – 14th for individualized instruction for beginners and intermediate players.
